Description

The VIA Lab's VP240 is an USB Type-C DRP CC controller which provides the electrical measurement to support Type-C CC controller features. The VP240 could be configured as DFP mode, UFP mode, DRP with Try.SRC mode or DRP with Try.SNK mode. The VP240 supports output signals for VBUS source and sink switches. The VP240 also provides the automatic starting signal for VBUS sink switch when dead battery happens. The VP240 also has the selection to control VBUS power capability and the VBUS power capability detection for sink side. The cable orientation identification can be used to control the USB super speed data switch. And the attached status identification provides the information of IC status.
