VIA Lab’s VL820 is the world’s first and certified USB 3.1 Gen2 Hub Controller featuring highly-integrated, application specific design. VL820 features 1x upstream port and 4x downstream ports, all of which support 10Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 operation. The downstream ports can support any combination of SuperSpeed Plus (10Gbps), SuperSpeed (5Gbps), High Speed (480Mbps), Full Speed (12Mbps), and Low Speed (1.5Mbps) devices. VL820’s integrated USB 2.0 hub features Multiple Transaction Translators. VL820 based hubs enjoy broad cross-platform support under a variety of host controllers and SoCs, and OS support in Windows, OSX, Linux, and many others.

The VL811+ 4-port USB 3.0 hub controller is VIA Lab’s third-generation single-chip hub solution. VL811+ offers many improvements over previous generation designs with optimized low-power design, support for USB power management, and adds an integrated USB Charging Controller to the core hub logic. VL811+ is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 specifications, and fully supports SuperSpeed (5Gbps), Hi-Speed (480Mbps), Full-Speed (12Mbps), and Low-Speed (1.5Mbps) traffic. Product Description
The VL716 is a single chip USB 3.1 Gen II to SATA 6Gb/s bridge controller with USB type-C connector support. Integrated in-house USB 3.1 Gen II PHY enables VL716 to run in USB SuperSpeed Gen II, Gen I, High-Speed, and Full-Speed modes. Supporting USB mass storage class Bulk-Only Transport (BOT), VL716 can work on Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista, XP, Mac OS X and various Linux kernels without additional driver. VL716 also support USB Attached SCSI Protocol (UASP) to enhance random read/write performance. Integrated in-house SATA 6Gb/s host controller can connect at SATA 6Gb/s, 3Gb/s, or 1.5Gb/s automatically. Built-in CC1/CC2 cable orientation detection circuits and two sets of SuperSpeed USB signal pins can support USB type-C receptacle natively to enable plug flipping feature without extra cost. 6 GPIO pins are available for push button, operation LEDs, device power down control, and other special usage. The SPI interface can support external flash for firmware upgrades or additional software enhancements.

Product Description
The SuperMUTT Pack is two devices in one. It is a VIA Labs VL811+ USB 3.0 hub with a Cypress FX2 USB 2.0 device downstream. The SuperMUTT Pack is capable of simulating USB 3.0 hub behaviors such as over-current, and exposes a USB 3.0 port that can be toggled on and off. The device is capable of simulating a variety of USB 2.0 device traffic including high speed and full speed transfers to bulk, isochronous, control, interrupt endpoints. The SuperMutt Pack device is designed to work with the MUTT Software Package. The Microsoft USB Test Tool (MUTT) software package contains test tools for hardware test engineers to test interoperability of their USB controller, hub, or device with the Microsoft USB driver stack in Windows 8.

The VL805 USB 3.0 Controller is based on xHCI 1.0 and features 4 downstream ports and a x1 PCI Express 2.0 bus interface that is backwards compatible with PCI Express 1.0. VL805 supports USB Debugging port and is both USB-IF SuperSpeed Certified and Microsoft WHCK Compliant.

Product Description
VL671 is a unique High-speed USB 2.0 to Super-speed USB 3.1 Gen1 transaction translator. VL671 effectively converts USB High-speed transactions to Super-speed transactions and vice-versa. With this capability, VL671 enables USB 2.0 devices to work under a USB 3.1 downstream port which only provides Super-speed interface (no USB 2.0 capability under this USB 3.1 downstream port for specific reasons). To provide the best user experience, VL671 also provides bypass mode. When the upstream port of the VL671 is connected to a USB 2.0 downstream port, the USB 2.0 signals are bypassed from the upstream port to the downstream port directly, and vice-versa. VL671 integrates in-house Super-speed PHY and USB 2.0 PHY and employs a very powerful ARM-based 32-bit microprocessor which allows the VL671 to quickly convert transactions/protocols between USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 with minimal delay. VL671 works perfectly with single power input from USB 5V bus to save customer BOM cost and is available on QFN 48L (6x6x0.85 mm) and QFN 40L (5x5x0.85 mm) green package. VL671 QFN 48L is pin compatible to VL670.
